Chikungunya Summer

Nice symptom of our nonexistent winter in New York. Chikungunya is apparently destined to descend on the city, thanks to the proliferation of mosquitos, which is of course thanks to the winter that was not.

I’m not entirely sure what any of this means, except that there is some scary shit coming involving mosquitos.

Fortunately the video below turns out to offer a much better explanation. Though considering what this disease will do to us this summer doesn’t help.

If you are looking for a good party game, try the Chikungunya Game. Say it five times in a row. Hell, say it once. I would provide the pronunciation but no one on the Internet has published it yet.
